On June 15-16, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dimiter Prodanov and Dr. Hristo Hristov from IICT-BAS attended the Cambridge-Dresden Bioelectronics Symposium, held in Dresden, Germany. The symposium is an international top-tier conference bringing together world-leading experts, young researchers, and industry partners to showcase and shape the future of bioelectronics.

Assoc. Prof. Prodanov delivered a presentation on “Deciphering The Brain Viscoelastic Response”, contributing to the scientific dialogue on the mechanical properties of brain tissue and their relevance to the development of neural interfaces and implantable neurotechnology.

The symposium offered an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with leading researchers in bioelectronics and to strengthen the connections of the VIBraTE team within the European research community – an engagement that is central to the project’s mission of advancing neurotechnology through international collaboration.
