On May 15, 2026, IICT-BAS hosted an internal research seminar as part of the VIBraTE project, featuring two presentations by visiting PhD students from the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF Dresden), Germany.

Teuku Fawzul Akbar presented his research on “Electroconductive Hydrogels for Sensing and Cell Fate Control”, exploring the potential of conductive hydrogel materials in biosensing and the control of cell behaviour – topics with significant implications for the development of next-generation neural interfaces and biomedical devices.

Spencer Ryan Moore introduced the work on “Direct Ink Writing of Implantable Devices”, showcasing advanced additive manufacturing techniques for the fabrication of implantable neurotechnology – a field closely aligned with the research goals of the VIBraTE project.

Both presentations sparked lively scientific discussion among colleagues and highlighted the value of cross-institutional collaboration in advancing neurotechnology research. We thank both researchers for sharing their work and look forward to future exchanges.
