On November 26, 2025, the sixth IEEE International Conference was opened at the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse on Communications, Information, Electronic and Energy Systems (CIEES 2025). The forum is organized by the Association for Communication, Information, Electronic and Energy Systems, jointly with the University of Ruse and the Bulgarian Section of IEEE.
The event was officially opened by the Rector of the University of Ruse, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava Atanasova, who wished success to the participants and emphasized the importance of the conference for strengthening international scientific cooperation. Among those present at the opening were Acad. Hristo Beloev, the vice-rectors of the university, representatives of the local authorities and the Bulgarian Section of IEEE.
The conference featured a plenary session with reports by prominent international scientists from Japan and Kazakhstan, and the official industrial partner was SUNOTEC Group, who presented their innovative approach to managing energy from photovoltaic plants.
VIBraTE project and IICT-BAS was presented by Dr. Hristo Hristov, who took part in the scientific program with an article on the topic “Electromechanical Setup for Measuring Viscoelastic Interactions of a Brain Phantom”. Dr. Hristov’s participation contributed to strengthening the institute’s partnerships in the IEEE community and opening new opportunities for scientific collaboration.
The conference lasted until November 28, 2025, with over 220 scientific papers presented from five continents, distributed in in-person and online sections.
The participation of VIBraTE project in prestigious scientific forums such as CIEES 2025 is evidence of the sustainable development of the scientific potential of the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and its contribution to the international scientific community.
