Our colleague Dr. Murad Redzheb from the Neurotechnology Laboratory at IICT-BAS and CEO of MatriChem in an interview on “Business Start” (BloombergTV):
The Bulgarian startup MatriChem, in collaboration with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and the European project VIBraTE, is working on innovative materials for brain implants. The main goal is to establish a neurotechnology lab for creating, validating, and testing new materials and electrodes suitable for brain implantation. Technologies include biomimetic hydrogels that mimic brain tissue and experimental setups for studying implant-tissue interactions. The project aims to accelerate technology transfer into medical practice and support the development of innovative therapies.
